Bedroom Decor-Pretty Cute

I was looking for an inexpensive way to make a change to Zoe's room. I didn't want to spend too much money because it won't be there for long. I have an Uppercase Living catalog that I was going to order some wall decorations from, but saw something similar for 40% off at JoAnn's so I bought them and put them on the wall last night. They are super cute and look pretty good too. Zoe is very happy with them and that is really what counts. The large purple/pink butterfly is above her bed.

Rare Day

I posted twice, well three times if you count this, today. Oh my, I must have nothing better to do. Of course I have plenty of "should do's" but those will get done eventually!

2827 Chief Alexander

That will be our new address some day. Probably not until next fall (2010). We finally were able to go and walk around as a family on it. Shannon and I had been there, and we had the plot plan etc, but the girls had not been with us. Up until last week it had been way too cold and way too dark by the time we got home from work. We have actually gained quite a bit of sunlight and it is very noticeable!!! Thank goodness. The lot is in a very new neighborhood off of Peger Road, it has some very strict covenants, we are happy about that, and it is on the RIVER. There are plenty of young kids that live in the neighborhood and we actually already know and are friends with some of them.

The picture with the two houses in it is taken from the back of our lot looking towards the road. Our lot starts at the light pole and goes to the right. It is a very deep lot, 180+feet deep.

Am I boring?

As I was reading through a friends blog I had some of the same thoughts. I too am probably a very boring blogger. I really only blog to keep connected visually with others. I do not have anything profound to share as my life is pretty "normal". I hope the pictures are enough to keep friends coming back to see the updates on our "boring" life here in the frozen north. But, it was +54 on Friday. One of the elective courses that I teach on Friday is "outdoors stuff" and we were digging snow caves, and were literally dripping with water. Thank goodness we all had our snowpants on. Enjoy the fun updated pictures of the girls.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! I am writing because I have nothing else to do. It has been -40 or colder for almost 2 weeks and I am sick of it!!!! We are way past the whole cabin fever thing. I am sure there are plenty of things in my house that I could be cleaning or organizing, but that seems to boring and makes to much sense for me to be doing on a cold dreary day. I think the worst is the ice fog. Most days I cannot see to the end of the culdesac! I want something fun and exciting to do, but with it being so cold outside, no one wants to really go anywhere and let there car sit outside for andy period of time. We did go to the Plumber's Showcase today. The lady that works there was glad to see someone come in. Really, we had to get out of the house, and I am up to my chin in home plans, etc. I wanted to take a picture of our property and post it, but I will do that when it warms up, and then I will tell you all more about our plans. Yes, we are going to build our dream home! In the mean time, here are some Christmas pictures of the girls. Something bright and cheery on a -47 degree, ice foggy day!
